Ladies and Gentlemen, the tributes of District Twelve! :#1:

Part of my 100 Theme Challenge of The Hunger Games

There are better adaptions of this scene... but I wanted to give it a try myself. This was the first thing I thought to make for Introduction anyway. :) It fits perfectly. So, Katniss and Peeta waving and blowing kisses at the dark background crowd. But you know, "Fire burns brighter in darkness" - quote by Katniss ^^

9 themes done, 91 left to do!!

Your fire and horses are amazing, but your anatomy could use a little work. You should try this site, they have a lot of good references to work with.…

Perfect although weren't the horses coal black?

It's hard to make everything really black... they would have melted into the background ^^ I wanted to make the background the darkest so the chariot pops up :)

Sweetie, Iv'e just finished reading the Hunger Games (all three books). I'm blown away. I prefer the first book of course, but it's really a remarkable trilogy. I remember it was you and naleme who talked to me about the books, so a big thank you! :iconalesiandra: They're very sad books, very cruel, but fascinating.
You've done a wonderful job of that scene!!

You've read them!!? That's amazing! I'm so glad I could make you interested and you liked them. It's so true, they are cruel and sad but so good as well. Yes, the first one was the best written in my opinion and there are some disturbing elemnts in the other two (I couldn't even name what exactly) but... I love the trilogy as well!

Thank you for commenting, even if it's a little time has passed since I posted these! :aww:

p.s.: AND I started to read "Water for Elephants" because of you =P
